Announcements

  • The next Greater Lafayette Security Professionals August meeting will be a presentation by Pascal Meunier on August 9th on Trusted Digital Repositories. Please bring your lunch. The metasploit workshop that was canceled in July has been rescheduled for September 13.
  • The first of the Fall CERIAS Security Seminars will be held on August 22 with Scott Anderson from Lockheed Martin presenting. The seminar will begin at 4:30pm in Stewart G52 and will also be shown on the Purdue channel. These seminars are recorded and made available as podcasts through iTunes and on YouTube.

Security Updates

  • Google Chrome Stable updated to 20.0.1132.57, correcting 3 high security vulnerabilities and updating Flash player as well, July 11th. >
  • Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird were updated to release 14, correcting 14 vulnerabilities, 4 critical, 4 high. Firefox updates to 14.0.1 and Thunderbird is at 14, July 17th.
