Developing a Secure Programming Concept Inventory

Principal Investigator: Ida Ngambeki

The goal of this project is to develop a secure programming concept inventory, a reliable and validated instrument to aid in assessment and curricular design. This project has identified difficult topics and common misconceptions in secure programming, especially those related to the foundational and critical concepts. These were used to develop questions that target difficult concepts and misconceptions. This item bank of questions is being tested and refined to develop a validated secure programming concept inventory. This project is a collaboration among researchers at Purdue University, California State University Sacramento, University of California Davis, and California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
