Biography

Vamsi Addanki is a tenure-track (assistant) professor at Purdue University. His research lies at the intersection of systems and theory, with a current focus on programmable photonic interconnects, scale-up GPU networks, and learning-augmented network algorithms. Prior to joining Purdue in fall 2025, Dr. Addanki completed my PhD at TU Berlin under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Schmid. He obtained MSc in Computer Science (Specialization in Networks) at Sorbonne University in Paris, France in 2020. His Master’s thesis was completed at ETH Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Laurent Vanbever. From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Addanki worked as a research engineer at Telecom Paris under the supervision of Prof. Dario Rossi and Prof. Luigi Iannone. He completed Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) studies in 2017 at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Goa Campus, India.
