CERIAS ReAssure Project Release 0.20

Mon, May 21, 2007General
A new version of ReAssure, a safe testbed for potentially destructive experiments, is now available on the CERIAS website.

Features available on the new release include:
-Experiments can now be accessed by multiple users.
-A new usage policy that specifically allows users to attack and explore the ReAssure system for the purposes of finding and reporting vulnerabilities in it.
-New administrative functions (delete user sessions, control user login, and more)
-User interface improvements (navigation, sorted displays, and more)
-User directory on the image server is now automatically created the first time they logged in.  There is no need to scp to the image server to get it setup anymore.
-Expanded test coverage
-Python switch management script modularized for better testing and maintenance
-Virtual machines should now get registered with VMware and boot in the specified order
-Virtual machines are now shut down and unregistered at the end of an experiment
-Help pages now open in a new window
-Fixed user deletion bug when the user had topographies
-Fixed broken transactions (Ruby DBI bug workaround)

Note: The network GUI requires Sun's Java.  Ubuntu includes by default GIJ, which breaks many things.
