West Lafayette, IN – CERIAS announced today that Laura Holladay has joined CERIAS as Student Programs Manager; a newly created position designed to support approximately 1,000 Purdue students studying or conducting research in cyber and cyber-physical security. 

“CERIAS and Purdue have long been considered preeminent institutions for cybersecurity research and education; we’re excited that Laura joining us allows us to vastly expand our support of the 1,000 cybersecurity focused Purdue students,  our industry supporters interested in hosting student-oriented projects, and our strategic partners looking to hire our students to help fill the estimated 1,000,000 open global cybersecurity career positions,” shared Dr. David Ebert, CERIAS Director and the Silicon Valley Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Holladay’s responsibilities include administration of the Purdue Interdisciplinary Information Security Degree program; the world’s first accredited interdisciplinary cybersecurity degree, student internship and career employment programs with strategic industry and government partners of CERIAS, coordination with the numerous cybersecurity student clubs and competition teams, and student cybersecurity scholarships fellowships and research assistantship programs.

Holladay has been with Purdue for eight years in positions of increased responsibilities, and joins CERIAS from the Division of Consumer Sciences where she served as the Administrative Assistant Team Lead and administered the department’s graduate degree program. Holladay holds degrees in Industrial/Organizations Psychology from Purdue University Global and a Business Administration/Office Administration with a concentration in Software Support from Ivy Tech.
