Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Broadcast Time & Time Zone
A:While we dream of the "Security Channel - All Security Chat All the Time", the fact is that the seminar is broadcast live to local cable access channel Wednesdays from (roughly) 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM EST. We currently do not stream the seminars live over the Internet. However, we are working hard to make MP4 versions of the seminars available within one week of their presentation. You can also subscribe to our video podcast:

Q: What does it cost to participate?
A: Nothing. The seminar is presented free as one of CERIAS' outreach programs to raise public awareness of computer security.

Q: When I click on the link to stream an Archived Seminar, the Real player doesn't start
A1: First off, make sure that you have Real's current player installed. Real offers a lot of different products so be sure you have an up-to-date version. If not, the software can be downloaded for free from Real.
