Abstract
Tencent QQ is one of the most widely used instant messaging platforms, integrating communication, file sharing, social networking, and various online services. Due to its widespread adoption, QQ frequently appears in digital investigations and may contain valuable evidentiary artifacts related to user activities. However, limited research has systematically examined the forensic artifacts generated by the mobile versions of QQ. This study investigates the Tencent QQ mobile application on both Android and iOS devices to identify potential sources of digital evidence, analyze artifact persistence across platforms, and evaluate their relevance for forensic investigations. The findings aim to provide investigators with a clearer understanding of evidence availability and support more effective analysis of QQ-related artifacts in mobile forensic cases.
