Abstract
Fully autonomous vehicles are becoming closer and closer to being a reality. Many countries and cultures have been making efforts and developments to become the first to make a fully autonomous car. Considerations about how these things will be regulated will need to be implemented before these types of vehicles are allowed on the open road. The reason these need to be regulated is because of the potential dangers they cause to humans and we need to be able to ensure that they are inherently safer than when humans drive themselves. So what are the rules and regulations that need to be implemented on autonomous vehicles? The most pressing topics that need to be addressed with regards to autonomous vehicles I will be discussing can be broken into the following sectors: safety, ethics, potential issues, and tradeoffs.
