Abstract
In an Internet of Things settings, there are commonly two types of nodes, namely computationally and energy constrained sensory nodes and unconstrained nodes such as desktops and mainframes. The resource constrained nodes often have access to efficient short range communication mediums such as Bluetooth LE and also expensive communication links such as WiFi. The adversary is usually a faulty resource constrained node and existing literatures assume too powerful adversaries. We aim to utilize the energy efficient links between the resource constrained nodes to build a Byzantine agreement protocol that tolerates an energy bounded adversary and is energy efficient.
