Abstract
The United States, unlike other G20 nations, continues to primarily use magnetic stripe cards or a ‘chip-and-sign’ method instead of the ‘chip-and-pin’ method. This has allowed merchant database breaches prove fatal to cardholders trading with that merchant. The purpose of this study is to assess consumer awareness and preferences regarding security features in Payment Cards.
