Abstract
This work aims to quantify the potential security gains of adding redundant security mechanisms to the information security scheme of an organization. To accomplish this, two redundant security mechanisms will be observed, published vulnerabilities for these products will be cataloged and linked with patch dates so that periods of open vulnerabilities can be identified.
