Abstract
Cloud computing is a rapidly growing global technological resource. This unique resource has raised many concerns about personal data security and confidentiality. It is important to understand how data will be protected if it is controlled by a third party. The issue of jurisdiction is a global concern and this paper presents the international legal implications of cloud computing. Many laws from the United States and the European Union are discussed to explain how the international community will conduct investigations in the cloud environment.
