Michael Tu received the PhD degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas, in 2006. He is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Information Technology & Graphics, Purdue University Calumet. His research interests include information assurance, computer forensics, distributed computing, and sustainable computing. He has over 30 publications in peer reviewed conferences and journals, and has actively participated in research projects that are sponsored by external funding programs such as NSF MRI, REU, and RET. Dr. Tu has obtained many professional certificates in information security and digital forensics. He has taught many courses in information assurance and digital forensics and has helped developed curriculum in digital forensics and cyber security. He is a member of the IEEE, ASEE, InfraGard, and National Cyber Security Institute Fellow.
