About the Speaker

Steve Crutchley is co-founder and Chief Security Officer (CSO) of 4FrontSecurity, an information security infrastructure and services firm. In his role at 4FrontSecurity, Steve is responsible for shaping 4FrontSecurity\'s corporate strategy in the worldwide information security marketplace and ensuring the firm\'s security competencies, industry analysis and ongoing research efforts with emerging technologies. Steve brings to this role his extensive experience in business and information security management as well as in-depth knowledge of the International security industry.



Steve has over 33 years of experience in information technology, with more than 14 years experience in Information Security, combined with an extensive knowledge of the industrial, commercial, government and financial sectors. Steve has managed and deployed secure information systems in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and is a specialist in security strategies; policies; architectures; intrusion detection; content management and public-key infrastructure (PKI). Steve brings additional experience in corporate business development, sales and marketing and executive management. With co-founder Christopher Parker, Steve has leveraged this experience and expertise to create a unique services company that helps companies make sense of information security and establish contextual knowledge that overlays business capabilities with secure IT needs.



Before joining 4FrontSecurity in 2002, Steve was a founder and director of eTechSecurity Inc., an information security consultancy and services company based in the Middle East with offices in Dubai, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Prior to this Steve was resident in South Africa and held senior positions in government, corporate and private businesses for many years and has a solid track record of prior achievements.



With extensive experience in Business and Security Management Steve was involved in government infrastructures providing security and privacy advice. Steve worked closely with most of the major security solutions providers including PKI suppliers and created a team of security professional that could support e-commerce business structures. Steve was also instrumental in the first major PKI roll out in South Africa.



Steve received his education in the U.K. He is a British Standards Institute-certified auditor and a member of the Computer Security Institute (CSI).
