The CERIAS K-12 Outreach Program is committed to helping K-12 school systems increase the security of their information systems and in integrating information security into existing school curriculum. As part of our efforts, CERIAS has received a grant from the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunications System (IHETS) to develop educational multimedia for K-12 educators. In order to develop effective, efficient instruction, we at CERIAS are collecting data from K-12 educators and technology coordinators on their information security practices and information protection and security training needs.

The information collected from these surveys will be used to determine the specific needs for K-12 schools in terms of information security and protection. The collected information will also be the direct input for designing and customizing the instructional materials of information security and protection for K-12 audience, including administrators, technology coordinators, teachers, and students.

This survey gives you a chance to express your opinions and your specific needs about information security and protection in K-12 schools. Your participation in this survey is critical for us to know about these specific needs; and your response to this survey is also critical to the success of the effective instructional design and development for instructional materials of information security and protection.
