Workshop:

The workshop consisted of building a virtual machine with some active defense mechanisms. Several members created VMs for testing, scanning, and probing. There was some discussion and demonstration of TCP Wrappers, inetd, OpenBSD's pf firewall tool, and BackTrack5 tools.

Discussion Points:

• The September meeting may be a review of the most recent DefCon conference from members of the group that attended.
