Workshop:

Doug Couch, Nathan Heck, Preston Wiley, and Keith Watson presented an introductory workshop to Metasploit. The workshop focused on the differences between the major interfaces available from Rapid7, the framework itself, software requirements, installation, and updating. A group exercise was conducted in finding an exploit, selecting a payload, configuring the exploit and payload, and executing the exploit.

A future workshop in the February time frame will look at more advanced use of Metasploit.
