Presentation:

John Downey presented on IPv6. He provided a brief overview of the protocol and implementations, issues with coexistence of IPv4 and IPv6, World IPv6 Day, and his experiences configuring IPv6 at home.

Discussion Points:

  • Additional topics for future meetings: Network Access Control (NAC) and 802.1X, DNSSEC.
  • The June 9 meeting will be day after the World IPv6 Day. Plan on discussing experiences.
  • The next meeting will be a workshop for IPv6 security and attacks.

Action Items

  1. The June 9 GLSP meeting will be a workshop on IPv6 security and attacks. Please bring your laptop and a network cable. We will be configuring an IPv6 network and using the THC Toolkit. More details to follow. This should be fun and informative.
