Presentation:
John Downey presented on IPv6. He provided a brief overview of the protocol and implementations, issues with coexistence of IPv4 and IPv6, World IPv6 Day, and his experiences configuring IPv6 at home.
John also recommended this presentation by Vint Cerf.
Discussion Points:
- Additional topics for future meetings: Network Access Control (NAC) and 802.1X, DNSSEC.
- The June 9 meeting will be day after the World IPv6 Day. Plan on discussing experiences.
- The next meeting will be a workshop for IPv6 security and attacks.
Action Items
- The June 9 GLSP meeting will be a workshop on IPv6 security and attacks. Please bring your laptop and a network cable. We will be configuring an IPv6 network and using the THC Toolkit. More details to follow. This should be fun and informative.
