Professional Organizations
We considered creating a formal chapter of an international professional security organization. These are the organizations we were considering and some comment and recommendations from the reviewers:
Original Proposed Mission Statement
Proposed by Greg Hedrick, Joanna Grama, and Jeff Smith
The Organization provides information security and data privacy professionals with a community in which to share information and network, access relevant professional development opportunities, and to obtain and maintain applicable professional certifications.
Organizational Activities
- Ensure that the organization is marketed to individuals outside of Purdue
- Comprehensive CPE resources list
- Certification-specific study groups
- Meeting times and locations that meet the needs of the members of the organization
