Dr. Kasamatsu is currently Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. During Summer 2012, he was an Visiting Scholar in the Department of Computer Science at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. From 2009 to 2012, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems Science, Faculty of Engineering, Soka University, Tokyo, Japan. He received Ph.D., M.E. and B.E. degrees in Information Systems Science from Soka University in 2009, 2006, and 2004, respectively. He has been engaged in the research and development of theory and design of Resilient System Based on Opportunistic Resource Utilization Systems. He received the Best Paper Award from the IARIA International Conference on Software Engineering Advances (ICSEA 2006), and the Fellowship Grant from the Telecommunications Advancement Foundation in Japan in 2011. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
