Prof. Abdel-Khalik - Nuclear Engineering
Dr. Hany Abdel-Khalik is looking for these students:
There might be some funding available for these but the student can receive independent study.
- students with software experience on compression algorithms for videos.
- students who can fly drones and know how to program the computing units on them, understand the protocols for data communication with Satellites and with other drones, and can do simulation using software platforms like Gazebo or AirSim or similar platforms. Our projects focus on developing a secure platform for Covert/Secure communications to ensure mission objectives (surveillance or striking a target) are met while obfuscating the location of the drones' central command station.
- someone who understands EEG devices that collect brain waves. That's a whole branch of research on understanding human behavior and thoughts by analyzing brain waves
