Fall 2006 - Mon-Wed  4:00-6:00 p.m.

Cyber forensics is a very dynamic field in its infancy. Defining the critical mass of cyber crime and cyber criminals has been a moving target based on the foundations of emerging trends. Research in cyber forensics is usually reactive to these emerging cyber crime trends. In an effort to increase the solutions in the cyber forensics field, it is important to identify and put forth solutions to these emerging trends, before they become tomorrow's case studies. It is to this end that this course is necessary as a pro-active measure in the fight against cyber crime.

This course will investigate special topics in the field of cyber forensics. Emphasis will be placed on examining current and future investigative issues and problems faced by personnel in this scientific field. The course will be seminar based and allow students to focus on applied research questions related to the special topics.
