Introduction

This site provides the comprehensive list of resources associated with Computer Viruses. The list is divided into sections to make finding information easier. Much of the information presented here is also available at the COAST Archive.

A virus is a program (generally a Trojan horse) that spreads, by making copies of itself in one way or another. (As described by David Chess in Things that Go Bump in the Net.)

Normally a computer virus is made to do harm to a system. It can accomplish this by over-writing other files, just deleting files or parts of them, it is also capable of wide variety of other destructive behaviour.
